We know that giving your summer to serve at camp is a huge sacrifice. What makes serving at Camp Grace worth it? We asked some of our summer staff this question, and their responses came down to these four main ideas:
- Location: Camp Grace is located in the beautiful mountains of Wyoming, 45 minutes from the nearest town. The secluded location enables you to disconnect and refocus as you grow and serve. Immersed in the beautiful creation environment, you can’t help but worship God.
- Size: This is a small camp, averaging about 40 campers per week. This provides opportunities for deep friendships among the entire staff as well as deeper ministry opportunities with the campers.
- Influencing others for Christ: Whether you are cleaning cabins one counseling campers, you are influencing eternity! 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us to always be abounding in the work of the Lord because we know that our labor is not in vain. No matter your job area, you will be able to abound in work that matters for eternity.
- Personal spiritual growth: The leadership team at Camp Grace recognizes that ministry happens not just in the lives of campers but also in the lives of the staff. Therefore, along with the weeks set aside to equip you to counsel, the leadership team seeks to encourage godly friendships, personal investment, and continual prayer. God can use the community at Camp Grace to be a spiritual blessing in your personal walk with Him.
